Berlin (dpa) - Die Fluchtbewegung aus der Ukraine nach Deutschland hält unvermindert an. Wie das Bundesinnenministerium mitteilt, hat die Bundespolizei seit Beginn des russischen Angriffs auf die Ukraine vor gut einem Monat die Ankunft von insgesamt 253.157 Kriegsflüchtlingen festgestellt.
Innerhalb eines Tages kamen rund 7000 Flüchtlinge neu hinzu - eine ähnliche Zahl wie an den Tagen zuvor. In der Vorwoche waren täglich jeweils mehr als zehntausend Ukraine-Flüchtlinge eingereist, die von der Bundespolizei erfasst wurden.
Da es im Regelfall keine festen Grenzkontrollen an den EU-Binnengrenzen gibt und Ukrainer zudem ohne Visum einreisen dürfen, ist die Zahl der tatsächlich Angekommenen wahrscheinlich deutlich höher. Nicht erfasst wird außerdem, wie viele der Geflüchteten von Deutschland aus weiterreisen in anderen Staaten.
Nach Angaben des UN-Flüchtlingshilfswerks haben seit Kriegsbeginn mehr als 3,67 Millionen Menschen die Ukraine verlassen. Kein Land hat so viele Schutzsuchende aufgenommen wie das Nachbarland Polen.
